Mother's Day 2008. It was fun to talk to the grandkids and have Law's over. It's been a sort of quiet, restful day. A prelude to a busy week. I'm sitting here looking at the thousands of blossoms on the fruit trees and praying they won't freeze. I need to replenish our food storage. Thoughts of my mom have flitted in and out of my head all weekend. I wish she and dad were here. There are days when it would be nice to have a moms shoulder to cry on. I guess that's my sisters are for. There are just some things that sisters do that no one else can. I am so thankful for my beautiful daughters and for their love and care. My life is a blessed one and I can't complain-although sometimes I do. Anyway, it's been a good day. Spring is going by way to fast, April needs to come again and start over. I can't wait to sit in the swing outside and watch the bees and smell the lemon thyme and lavender. Awe...spring what bliss!
Love and hugs,
Grandmavic

The lovely month of May
It's finally May and we've had a beautiful day. I picked a gorgeous bouquet of tulips and they are making my kitchen so cheerful. My sister gave me a darling angel wind chime and it's hanging on our white birch tree, which is growing really tall. I had a super time with my six sisters this past week. We laughed, talked, shared memories, ate, shopped, made cards for hours and got little sleep. I wish we could start over and have another one.
I'm excited to have a mother daughter weekend this year. I hope we build many great memories. I love my four wonderful girls and appreciate the bonds they share. And I am grateful for the support they give their brother.
It's been a good day, church, sunshine, a peanut butter sandwich, all I needed was to have my Al here. Happy Spring!
